Rebel Alliance is an original melodic force on the scene. The band was founded in 2008 by DJ Freeman, aka "White Abbot", of Unknown SoulJah Records. To kick-off this musical exploration Freeman sought counsel of his Rastafarian elders. This additional knowledge and wisdom aided in the concept of a true Rebel Alliance with roots reggae philosophies, original music, positive messages and infectious grooves.

Once the band’s roots were planted, veteran musicians were called in to cultivate this new sound. Since the first concert together in South Florida in the summer of 2009, Rebel Alliance has graced many stages along America’s East Coast and touched thousands of hearts world wide. The West Palm Beach, Florida based band hails it’s musicians from various parts of the globe, offering talent from Jamaica, Trinidad, Venezuela, Africa, Spain and United States. The blend of the musician’s cultural backgrounds creates the unique "world sound" of Rebel Alliance.

The core foundation of Rebel Alliance is reggae music with under scores of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Eastern Philosophy and Dub. Rebel Alliance’s mission is to spread positively charged music out to the four corners of the globe. The band is currently in the studio recording their debut album to be released April 20th, 2011.
